Newbie question: is there a way to allow users to select or enter multiple values for a parameter. Say we want to let the user filter by state - can they choose multiple state codes like NY, CA, TX? Thanks in advance.

I have set the following code
plot.setLabelGenerator(new StandardPieSectionLabelGenerator("{0}={2}",new DecimalFormat("#,##0"),new DecimalFormat("0.00%"))

hi @ all,

i even found infocaptor, so i'm very new to this one - but what i read so far was very interesting.
currently i design a dashboard with microstrategy 9 - however, i'm always in search of new software to create dashboards - open source in particular.

anybody who gained experience with both of these software moduls or with other software? if so, please tell me what your experience where like and what you prefer respectively.
i would appreciate if anybody could inform me, if infocapter is useable to visualise huge data volumes - or if someone could suggest any other 'dashboard-software' or dashboard fora.

(by the way i'm working with sybase iq database and i would like to create a dashboard with several sites / panels each panel displays several reports - grids and diagramms respectively)

thanks a lot
best regards

Can you give me any help to reinstate the date on my dashboard?

I.E click on line graph, right click on properties, select Plot > Appearance and check 'Draw Shapes'. This remains persistent for current session, however when closing and re-opening the dashboard this check box reverts back to default. Is this a bug in 3.4 or better still can I do this via Dynamic Java Code (please provide code). Thanks in advance.

I have just downloaded the trial version of the software and it looks to be exactly what we are looking for within our small business.

I could do with some advice regarding bar/line charts. I wrote a simple query which displayed ok as a pie chart but when I changed the chart type to anything except pie/pie 3D it is blank. I tried putting in a dummy third column as suggested in the tutorial but it still did not display. See screenshots below.

I also tried creating a barchart using a basic spreadsheet as a data source but could still not get it to work. Am I doing something wrong or is it a limitation of the trial software?

Hi,

I developed a dashboard/cockpit for software projects with waht I consider best practice Key Performance Indicators. I would appreciate some feedback of others. Free download at: www.se-cure.ch/Downloads.html.

Thanks!

Hello,
I am using your dashboard date picker, but it doesn't appear to be giving expected results in my where clause in Oracle. Here's my where clause:

where
invoice_date between to_date(('G_PARAM<p34:Display>'),'dd:mon:yyyy') and
to_date(to_char('G_PARAM<p63:Display>'),'dd:mon:yyyy')
group by country_desc order by amount desc
